Booking Cancellation Terms

Sea to Sky Expeditions & Sea to Sky Wilderness Adventures are cooperative partner companies sharing resources to offer our guests the best in wilderness adventures.

Complete the trip application form and liability release and remit it to Sea to Sky Expeditions & Sea to Sky Wilderness Adventures with the other forms we require. The balance of payment is due 60 days prior to trip departure. If payment is not received when due, Sea to Sky Expeditions & Sea to Sky Wilderness Adventures reserves the right to treat the reservation as cancelled. No one may depart on a trip unless all payments and necessary documents (including medical and liability release forms) are received by Sea to Sky Expeditions & Sea to Sky Wilderness Adventures.

Due to the nature of operating in the wilderness and international destinations, prices are subject to change [rare]. Where necessary to change a price, we will try to provide as much notice as possible, and offer you the choice of another trip, or to cancel, with full refund.

Cancellation Policy
Prior to the 60 days, and upon receipt of written notice of your intent to cancel, we will refund all payment less the deposit.

As a significant portion of our trip costs is already committed well in advance of each trip, there is no refund 60 days or less of the departure date. If, after securing all available spots for a particular trip, we will refund your entire payment less an administrative fee of $250 Cdn.

Accommodation is based on shared occupancy for both hotels and tents. We try to match participants by gender. On some trips, a single supplement may be required.

Travel: As we strictly enforce our cancellation policy, we very strongly recommend that you purchase travel cancellation/interruption insurance Generally, It covers non-refundable expenses up to the insurance amount you’ve selected if you have to cancel your trip prior to your departure for a reason recognized by the insurer. It also covers the expenses incurred if you have to return to your home early for a reason recognized by the insurer. Eligible expenses include plane tickets, reasonable living expenses and the unused portion of land arrangements. Cost will vary with providers. You can contact our office for insurance providers if it becomes necessary.

Medical: If you are a resident of Canada, the Chilkoot and Tatshenshini trip will enter the U.S. You may want to consider extended medical coverage for the period of time you are visiting the US. U.S. citizens should arrange for medical coverage while in Canada.

Evacuation: Should the need arise; the cost of evacuation is your responsibility. In some remote areas, it can be quite significant. If this is a concern, please arrange to have this coverage in place with an insurance provider of your choosing.

Before purchasing insurance, check with your present insurance provider (home, auto, work) as you may already be covered.

The Need to Cancel Trips

Sea to Sky Expeditions & Sea to Sky Wilderness Adventures reserves the right to cancel any trip prior to departure for any reason whatsoever, including insufficient booking levels or logistical problems that may impede trip operations. A trip cancellation due to insufficient booking levels will generally occur at least 30 days prior to departure. In the event of the need to cancel a trip, Sea to Sky Expeditions & Sea to Sky Wilderness Adventures is not responsible for expenses incurred by trip members in preparing for the trip (i.e. nonrefundable airline tickets, visa fees, equipment, etc.).
